Lurgashall Mill

The River Lod was dammed in the 17th century and a Mill was erected, it utilised  a wooden water wheel to grind corn into flour.  The Mill worked until the 1930s it had been unused until the mid 1970's, it was removed and restored into a working watermill which is now based at the Weald and Downland Museum near Chichester. The granary that stood next to the Mill is still on the driveway leading to the farm and is the original building.
